I am having trouble finding comps. My search terms are not getting me anywhere, google lens nothing. I tried etched urn vase, crater vase, silverplate & crystal vase, Hawkes... Pairpoint..etched. Maybe French? Plus I am having trouble photoing it, uploaded my best ones. Approx 13" high x 9" across the top. Thanks for looking!

No silver marks. Bottom covered with felt, maybe there. Looks like silverplate. Totally water tight. Thick glass, see bottom in photo with blue background. Ground pontil. Candle holder or vase either one it is a very large centerpiece.

Beautiful piece of glass. Maybe a a square on photo of the pattern would help with Google lens ID..other than that I don't know.

Yes, @ola402, at least MOSTLY Photoshop, but it's also an OLD version, so on occasion I also use TOPAZ Photo AI, or TOPAZ GIGAPIXEL.......but there's also getting to be SO many photo fix programs out there now, and they're ALL starting to include 'AI', which can be helpful!!! I'm a bit shy of upgrading to the new Photoshop, as I think the learning curve might be hard for me, at my stage of the game!!!! Plus, Photoshop is a monthly subscription....and for me, a bit pricey!!!! I'm NO pro, just love to 'play with it' over the years!!!

I purchased Photoshop several years back but was confounded by it. My iMAC came with a very easy to use (but not as feature rich) photo editor called iPhoto so I used that for all my ebay listings. However, I found clear glass to be the most difficult to achieve good results with and your photo is just excellent. Once in a while, I would get a great clear glass photo by dumb luck and my selling price was always much higher. I should have spent more time with Photoshop.

I find black card or paper behind clear glass brings out the contrast well. Cyan is completely rubbish and makes it kind of vanish. I've not tried any other colours yet.

Red is a good color behind clear glass for some reason, but I prefer black for elegant glass, it looks classier. I tried red behind some solid glass figurines and it worked very well.
