heavy metal ob'ject

    hi folks

    bob let me have this for a fiver (hasn't a clue what it is either)

    thought it was an interesting enough an object for that

    get the impression more tool than weapon (far tooheavy)

    thought maybe fishing priest but still too heavy for that

    don't think designed/made for impact

    theres brown tones in it, so unsure of metal

    any thoughts or info appreciated

    Looks similar to a belaying pin, but not quite.

    Coupling pins like that were good for spontaneous amputations. It does look like a piece of something else and coupler pin would fit.

    Not surprisingly, but they had to improve the technology so they could get workers who'd risk taking the job.

    He can bang a gong, get it on! Wouldn't use this beast on a drum, but it would ))wham(( on a bronze bell nicely. (provided you really hated the bell)

    I keep a piece of an old toy in my purse. That way I can check some metal in the field. I don't see you guys carrying a purse though. Fanny pack maybe, or cargo pants with bits in the pockets.
