Featured carved indian thing

Hi folks something that was left over from the carboot lot

sidelined as very dubious to the age

the darkened top area and base give me pause though (looks more handled)

it cost nothing but think there could be a slight chance of age

any thoughts or info appreciated

.......oh and victorian mudlarkers

 

as thought, looks like they range in quality/age........oh and price of course

It is a carved Cambodian thing. A Khmer style souvenir based on stone carvings from the Bayon temple, Angkor Wat, Cambodia. Late 20th-early 21st century.

Jayavarman VII (ca 1130-ca 1215) was the first Buddhist king of Angkor. (The only Wiki page I could find was in Dutch, there is other info in English)

A few intact Roman pieces Nicola White found mudlarking & an intact Bellarmine found on the foreshore -

 

thought i had a bellarmine jug at the boot, but when i turned it round there was sticks of celery or such on it as decoration
