Featured Joan of Ark? metal figure

    ....another cool buy from the boot

    unsure of metal, would think someish age

    under the felt bottom is filled with wax?

    hole for missing sword ;) (sword guess)

    pretty damn cool though

    any thoughts appreciated

    Yes, a sword.
    It is a copy of the statue of Jeanne d'Arc/Joan of Arc in the house where she was born in Domrémy:

    i know very little of her to be honest (apart from what i asked alexa) but threads seem to have a great way of filling in info without searching for it:happy:

    I don't either. She does look like metal.

    think i can see white metal tinges on the photos(arms), so guessing probably spelter or such

    I just read that the original statue is by Marie d'Orléans (1813-1839, died so young:().

    She was very good already, so she could have become one of the best. Poor girl.:(

    It's fitting that she did the Joan statue, darnitt. They both died awfully young.
