    Dear community,
Need help with id this set.

4 small pots (1 lid missing). Nice shape, nice colours. Like it. But no maker marks. Only pattern number. Any help with shape or maker id will be helpful. Thanks!

The butterfly looks Japanese, as does the decoration at least in execution. Beyond that I'll leave it to the experts.

Thanks! Never met Japanese porcelain with pattern numbers. It is looks like classic Aesthetic Movement butterflies. I am almost sure it is British

THIS item appears to have the same finial. The seller's title (item listing page is gone) indicates it was retailed by Delvaux, "a historic Parisian dealer of porcelain, glass, and art objects, not the modern luxury handbag brand" (AI info) so perhaps your item is French...? Admittedly, not an area I know anything about. An avenue worth pursuing, I guess.

That made me wonder too. Japanese designs were copied in the West and still are. The actual gilding looked like something a Japanese factory would have done, but the pottery didn't.

just something about the clash (of styles) that actually works, and only usually see that from one specific designer

as evey mentioned its VERY japanese, and without those numbers, and possibly the red/turq i would have thought maybe

the "fig" is very english as well though

not an easy one by any means ;)
