Elves eat all the macadamia nuts from my tree. They have big teeth and bushy tails.

Lucky elves. All mine get are acorns and what I think are butternuts; I've never been able to ID the trees and by the time the nuts fall they're either eaten or rotten. Or both. Elves can have those.

Butternuts. Yumm! When I lived back east, my family used to get them from local trees every year. My mother was a charmed baker and made butternut cookies. I used to get thousands of macadamia nuts every year. My friends loved it. Then the elves moved in. They don't even eat them all because they are so many. They bury them, so I have tiny trees everywhere. None for me.

Not the same tree. It might be a beech. Or something. It drops nuts, and I don't get any. The leaves are turning bright yellow as we speak, so at least I get the "pretty". The squirrels get the nutty... or nuttier.

Hmmmm. Do you put it on other stuff - not just verdigris on jewelry? I thought it was a cleaner of gunk not a condiment. :):):)

I think it was originally designed to be edible. Ketchup was too. My niece thinks it's a vegetable.

You and I are on the same page. Ketchup is 25% sugar. More than a chocolate chip cookie.
