Featured Pencil drawing from around 1900.

  1. Good afternoon,
This also came from my mom. No idea who drew it. Amateur probably, but ...
    It's 18 x 22,5 cm. I love the details (for example in the face). Sier-33606216-Potloodtekening Fleurs consultées-7.jpg Sier-33606216-Potloodtekening Fleurs consultees-4.jpg

I dont think it's a bad drawing. Wouldn't say amateur as it's pretty well done and detailed.

I guess so. Johan is Dutch, living in Germany. The seller lives in Germany and 'zeepdoosje', the seller's name, is a Dutch word (cute, Johan :playful:).

    It is a beauty, btw.

A little strange to have the building? But I guess it’s there for a reason, but I don’t know what building it is.

Is this just an advertisement ...? I'm not seeing a question here..:sour:

Too bad the artist didn't attend the lesson on drawing hands

  10. It's even more complicated: I'm dutch, but live in Germany and my real name isn't Johan. I always use an alias when joining a forum I'm not familiar with (identity fraud etc.) My real first name is André. And I'm selling this because my wife hates it.

So , indeed , it is just an ad to sell this item !
We have a SELL Forum for that...

But the OP didn't mention it being for sale, or post the link to the auction - had the impression he just likes it (even if wife doesn't), and wanted to share...

Though I see it is in the 'Sell' forum - was it moved there?

  14. I didn't move it there and I don't want to sell it here. Sorry for all the confusion. I am curious about the drawing (because it came from my recently deceased mother and yes I am trying to sell it on ebay. I believe those two can go together well.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Well, at least it was seen for a while in another forum here. I didn't think that Johan was trying to sell it here. It was other members who sleuthed the listing and decided to post the link to it. Because that link was posted, though, I suppose it's ok that it ended up in the Sell area. I guess others made that decision for Johan.

Nothing to be sorry for, Johan/André - you did nothing wrong, the thread just went a little sideways...
