Hi everybody . Picked this up recently ,more for research than anything ,for a $1 you cant go wrong. Its 8 inches high ,I think its tin glazed (?) but I don't know a lot about ceramics so Im probably wrong . I just thought it was beautifully swirled and I love the color. Any info is appreciated greatly .

Can you take a picture against a plain background and do a google image search? The front end of the car gives me nothing but tires in my search.

I just noticed the two holes on top. It probably had a pewter lid at one time.

Thanks for the comments everyone . I normally never buy something that's a little battered, but this thing just appealed to me. Ive got it on my dining room table full of flowers,it looks beautiful ! The sad part ,Im in the midst of a clean out as we speak ! I was "dropping off " when I browsed around and spotted it ! It never ends , does it ?!? :)
Greg,If I decide to move it on your in like Flynn !

It's not salt glazed, that produces an almost rough finish. It does resemble closely some sprigged and moulded 19th C pieces from this side of the pond. And it's also very like some of the moulds used for both salt glazed and Parian wares. It is, however, tin glazed. Makes me think it's perhaps European.
