    IMHO, no...it has a lovely, uniform age-appropriate patina...as it should.
    Those reptilian Dragons are really beautiful, Boland...Thanks!

    In Japanese mythology, dragons are traditionally depicted with three toes, in contrast to the four-toed dragons often seen in Chinese mythology.

    Appreciate the reply and thanks for the information. I agree it’s a nice looking thing. I must really try and remember the ‘toe thing’ (good info to have)

    These very pronounced 3D dragons are generally Japanese (export).
    And as kyra said, it looks like antimony, much used in Japanese export pieces before 1940.
