Featured unusual treen thingy

....something else i picked up for under a squid in a box of tools. not quite sure the purpose

they obviously went together at some time

thought maybe to do with sewing? looks functional

the wood on it is GLORIOUS, like having just picked up a conker

any thoughts or info appreciated

according to this site it is a wooden ball and cup game

 

It is gorgeous. I have seen similar ones for sale in antiques shops, can't remember if they were pricey, but it is bound to be much more than a squid.

Nice! It wanted to be a sock darner, but if so no one ever used it as such. As a toy it sells much better.

 

well no as its never wanted to be a sock darner and is not one.....also the head would just fall off (wobbly)
