Featured People's Republic of China cloisonné box w/ ladies.

This piece has 4 different scenes on each side. The images remind me of the "Beauties of the Red Mansion" plates.

It has a paper label & a gold seal mark. Is the gold mark the same as the paper label or something different? Do I have the orientation correct?

It is 3" to the top of the lid & is 2" by 1 7/8" across.

I don't know exactly how early....... but I'd guess 1970's,,,imo..??

We know that it has to be after 1949 with the People's Republic of China label.

I figured it was around the 70s-80s when the "collectible" plates & nick-knacks were really taking hold.

Something tells me that I will have a very difficult time even getting 25% of their asking price.
