Yeah, they're trying to curry favour somewhere, but it's a losing game. And I'm not anti-postal workers. I want the postal service to survive, but it has to change to the conditions as they are now in order to survive. And I know that is easier said than done.

Got news for ya, some USAians are already considering. One guy I went to high school with lives up there with his boyfriend. You can bet he's not coming back!

Local sales have not been good here, including the local flea markets, so I went on a buying spree on eboo...

The next 2 are the same lot described as silver mourning pins. The only one not silver and painted black is the one on the top right, the others polished up nicely :)

I don't have this last one yet, this is the seller's photo. It is destined for my jewelry box! About 1" wide, it goes into my Art Nouveau silver collection :D

I went to an annual flea market yesterday and today. I got there late by the flea market standards on Saturday (7:20 am), and people had already grabbed a lot of jewelry. Some people were setting up late, and I got a few things, only took a picture of these pearls for now. 17" strand, 14k clasp, $22, most likely freshwater baroque pearls. Lumii_20251018_155314955.jpg Lumii_20251018_155321028.jpg The flea market was scheduled for last weekend, but we had a Nor'easter, so they had it this weekend. Today conflicted with huge fall festivals, so many vendors weren't there. A lady who used to sell locally was set up, and she is selling her life's collection (something I should be doing.) I will post later the rest of the things I got later, but here are some cameos.

All are gold-filled. The rings was $10, the two pendants $15 each, the last habille cameo was pricey at $50. I think she will be a beauty after gentle cleaning and oiling.

The Virgin Mary one would be my favorite. She's not the usual pretty girl cameo.

I'm not a Cancer, but am very fond of crabs as an artistic motif. Suspect I'd also like the green-blue sparkly in the first pic.

See you also scored a 'Renaissance' cameo.

Oh, and I also like acorns. Is that a necklace? Very suitable for autumnal wear.

Thought as much. The clasp looked like it said Napier. The 20s filigree at the end is my favorite.

Just noticed you have 2, although one looks like it might be reverse carved or intaglio.
