More stuff that I purchased this morning. The necklace is testing 10k. The grapes that are at least 14k.

I'm betting the clasp is hallmarked on the inside of where the two spring-driven pieces come together. The hide it on the round part just to make you crazy.

I think it is. But it is so small and I don't have a strong enough loupe to read it. I was just looking at Amazon today for stronger loupes.

The necklace bit has nothing to do with the two antique Etruscan Revival-ish pearl grape pieces, although someone may have married them at some point.

Could you show us the backs of the pearl grape pieces? I wonder if they were a pendant/brooch and an earring that has lost its mate.
They are very beautiful, and I'm sure something can be done to try and restore their original look.

Yes I will take pictures of the back as soon as the sun comes up. I am afraid they are very beat up. They are falling apart as I handle them. I was wondering what to call them in terms of style Etruscan Revival-ish sounds good to me.

The cannetille looks Etruscan Revival, but it is a mix of styles. I see this type of jewellery a lot on Austrian antique jewellery sites, so that could be the origin.
Austria is wine growing country, just like neighbours southern Germany and Italy, and you see grape-themed jewellery in all three.

Thanks. So the round one was definitely a brooch. The other one was repurposed as a brooch. It could have been an earring.

The condition is a real pity, because they are so beautiful. But someone with a lot of patience could still make them wearable. I used to do repairs like that, but my hands are too arthritic now. I hope there are others who like a challenge.:)

I could probably figure it out, but those thin brass wires were made to fall apart alas.
