    Hi folks

something else i bought in the same shop as the goblet

guessing its got age, looks as though its been outside with the elements or dug up etc

orange sea glass is the rarest of the rare, so thinking/hoping old orange glass might be rare as well

    any thoughts appreciated

any other thoughts or have we all taken what kronos has said as golden ? me and copie think differently about that anyway

That circular indentation at the top…
    • Is not damage—it’s almost certainly the pontil scar, where the glass was detached from the rod during the blowing process.

or does it just look sorta like one someone has seen on image search

it wasn't blown from the other side as you can see ( as smooth as a babys bottom)

so that aint a ground pontil mark, its just been moulded while hot to sit

Look at around 4m40s to see how and where the stem was applied. Unfinished? End of day piece? Dunno. Hopefully someone else might have another answer for you.

Yeah i don't get the impression any stem was ever added, as the top is where is was blown from

but end of day piece is a good thought actually ;)
