Featured Is there a name for this style Hobe’ necklace? Halter?

I’m at a loss for what the name of this type of “necklace” is. Almost like a bra but….
It is signed Hobe’ on the shepherd’s hook and back. I can’t even find anything like it in image search

A search for 'Hobe bookchain' produced some things with similar chain construction, but more ordinary necklaces.

Gauntlett's isn't a bib necklace though. It is a chain halter top.

I was just trying out search terms. Things are not always described accurately by sellers, even museums sometimes get things wrong. That necklace is actually the nearest thing to OPs item I managed to turn up. Searching for 'Hobe lion' was surprisingly unproductive.

Yes, that is what these were called when they were first sold, a chain halter top or necklace.

 

It's begging for a discotheque to go dance in, and I hope the wearer put a tube top underneath.
