I picked up this item, 25% off, for a total of $15.50. It's in good condition, and I was surprised at the prices horn boxes bring.

It is described as a dresser jar but I believe it was a humidor. You don't see it often in this decoration. I have attached a photo of the plain decoration.
It was found on FBM. Screenshot_20251117-081344.png

    I like Georges work.....luv the fish ! ... Score !!!!! ..... big Score !:woot:

The Eagle is a dance wand , that someone has decorated with an Iroquois medicine wheel and feathers that came off a Plains headdress , dyed to look like Eagle feathers. You paid up for it !:meh:

I've seen worse Raven rattles. Likely from the 70's....., the artist was a better carver than painter....... but still, Score !:woot:

Sam has brought you a lovely ThunderBird rattle. It's a good carving by him. circa 80's....maybe later....... another Score !!!!!:woot:

Yup , you're right to be happy !!!!!!;)

The bottom rattle would be my pick of the group. But where I live there is a LOT of indigenous (Haida) art, vintage and contemporary to see and like.

Finally! Posting from my tablet. Sorry about the lousy photo but the lighting stinks. I got out of an antique/jewelry store for $15 today for three pieces. She tried to insist that the pin, not shown, was silver. I told her absolutely not, since the manufacturer (Boucher!) didn't make any other than maybe a few WWII pieces. She'd misread the design number as a silver mark. The other two were true finds - Renoir signed copper and carved dark olive bakelite. The Renoir is signed and the other ponged nicely and turned the cotton swab dark brown with baking soda. The color wasn't relevant with a smell like that.
