Handmade- metal jewellery box

Hi all,an interesting little aluminium box and well crafted. Two ‘wild haired’ children playing in the forest. The girl looks to wearing a pixie/fairy type dress (if you know
what I mean,or that’s what I imagine) Then there’s the being attacked/chased by the 2 goats. Was wondering if this is not depicting some folklore tale? The inside looks vintage to me? Maybe 60’s or 70’s (I don’t really know)
It’s 14,5cm long,10cm wide and stands 9cm tall. Thank you for any comments

 

I'm with Boland, those are goats. The horns are on top of the heads, the necks are bent in a way a boar can't, and the noses almost touch the front legs.

 

I think 1930s based on the little girl's ensemble. The short, flowing skirt, the defined waist with tie and the pigtails. That date is also consistent with the color of the lining.

The characters may be Heidi and Peter the goatherd.

Definitely goats, so another vote for Heidi and the Goatherd and 30s. I like that.
