I think these are the shortcuts for the regular US Keyboard

These for the US International keyboard

And these for (US) Mac

So, now you should all be able to write 'Pantaleón' and 'Pantaléon'

Really appreciate your posting this. First chart should apply, I think, to my situation, but steps are not working for me. Do all keys have to be held down simultaneously? No doubt obvious to the initiated.

 

With my keyboard (settings), I only have to press and release the accent grave, and then press e, to get è.
But based on the instructions of the first, and assuming those are the right ones for your keyboard, you have to press and release ctrl and the accent grave at the same time, and then press e.

 

e n e Nope. No accents, either grave or acute, & no tilde. Does it require changing to the international keyboard? Sorry to be so dense.
