The black beads are cold and feel like glass. I am not sure what the colored beads are as they have a weird feeling to them. The paint almost has a metallic reflective quality and not all at the same time. The white beads are glass as well They do not glow as I thought they might. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking through pages of Neiger Brothers pics and have not found anything like them yet. Maybe I am on the wrong trail.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Is there no clasp on this necklace? What is the length? What made you think they were Neiger Brothers production?

In the book Baubles, Buttons and Beads: The Heritage of Bohemia there is a section on the Neiger production. Everything they show has metal elements. Elsewhere in the book there are some necklaces looking somewhat like this. Said to be from Gablonz, but unknown maker.

@DragonflyWink has more experience in studying jewelry from Bohemia, as I'm sure that others here have as well. Maybe others will know more.

I like it and would think Czech, probably 1930s - Neiger did do some strung beads, but they were high quality, and not really seeing that here...

no clasp. I had a Neiger necklace without a clasp but maybe it was missing. It is very long 34” plus the tassel hangs lower.

thank you all so much for the help.

Are the larger multi-color 'beads' glass, also?
