    Hi folks these were something i picked up on the same day as the others

    don't think we're talking one of the big boy companys, more like in the style of

    but pretty damn neat all the same

    i would guess at turn of the century ish (either before of after) ?

    could do with more light this timer year :rolleyes:

    Marvellous stuff, thanks Aj, so a different paintings for each vase then. cool that the've both got the same artist thing going on in both

    Well, they are a pair, so very famous paintings by the same artist would be appropriate. They are rather nicely done. Continental, I think. That shading from red to blue makes me think 1920s or later. There was a prediliction for what we would call "air-brushed" design in the 20s and 30s. Lots was done by Japanese firms, but I "think" these are continental.

    totally agree with air brushed thing kw, their almost even a little noritake in that respect, but agree the subjects don't really fit

    A pain when this sort of thing happens because without a concrete name behind them they'll never quite get the eyes when selling, but if they had a concrete name on them.......probably wouldn't of got them ;);)

    They look very similar to Royal Bayreuth. I picked up these two interesting lil things in Cheltenham a couple of years ago. I have attributed them to Bayreuth but not certain.
