If you use it as a search term for this site, you will see it has come up from time to time, frequently accompanied by frustrated desire.

'Pools of Light' ,Steel Cut Victorian jewelry, and Pinchbeck are also interesting jewelry types to keep an eye out for.
I learned all about those forms here-thanks AJ,OBB,and all our brilliant Joolies !

Not sure I would put Pinchbeck on the list. It's really just glorified brass & pretty common.

It doesn't turn up in the wild in the USA though, at least not often. Sapphiret and Pools of Light are at the top of my BOLO list. I've also heard tales of Ammiret(s) glass, in purple, but only tales and those not often. Dragon's Breath is another BOLO, but it's easier to find.

From 2017. This began my constant obsession with finding Saphiret. This sold for $450 to Japan. There are days I regret having sold this cross.

I've not found a genuine old one in the wild since then. (Saw an antique saphiret hat pin at an antique mall for big bucks, that doesn't count.) I have found 3 of the vintage saphirets in the wild (a single earring, a ring, and a star brooch) but these are the vintage saphireens or however you spell it. Was thrilled to find them, but the older ones are really what I long to find, and so far nothing.

I found a small, old saphiret pin years ago, sold it at a show for a nice profit.

I won an auction for a jewelry lot that included a "glass balls" necklace. Took a chance and was rewarded with pools of light :)

Have found 5 or 6 nice dragon's breath pieces over the years, I agree, they are easier to find but still not common.

    Whut?

oh Bronwen! Pinchbeck isn’t glorified brass and it can be incredibly collectible and costly. The real thing, Georgian, isn’t that common either.

I’ve one necklace bought for a pittance, which would sell for four figures.

It's easier to find gold here than pinchbeck. Nice gold too.

It gets misdescribed as brass. Luckily! Bloke I got my necklace from thought it was modern costume .
