Featured MCM nut sweet stash tray

    Visited my house clearance guy in Earlstown a few weeks ago and he was running quite thin on porcelain. He had an eclectic mix of clothes, kitchenalia and treen, so I grabbed what I could to try and pay for my train fare.

    Ohe of the items was this wooden dish tray thing. Nice and curvy with pointy bits. There is an insignia in the middle. Anyone got any ideas please? Looks like mid century..I can imagine it sat next to my uncles bang and Olufsen beomaster.

    These typically came from the Philippines. Made of monkey pod. A Google Images search will bring up similars. Early 1970s.

    Here in Europe they usually came from Thailand, 1960s-70s. For nuts and other munchies. I think I still have one.
