IMG_3853.jpeg IMG_3850.jpeg IMG_3856.jpeg IMG_3855.jpeg Hi all, these items are not mine and they weren’t for sale (at the time) so this is purely just for intrest sake. They were part of the decor inside a beautiful 17th century converted manor house located in central Portugal. Sorry the photos of the statue is not great (and it was behind glass) At the time owner wasn’t really interested in answering my questions or having a discussion with me regarding some of the beautiful and interesting items in in the house. Probably also
the language barrier. I did understand however that some items were found left in the house then they bought it

So,the beautifully carved crucifix stands about 45- 50cm tall.
The terracotta statue of St Peter (I think) stands about 25cm. Looks well aged and features well worn.

Anyway, could both of these items be 18th century? (just my wild guess) What do you think? Or is it impossible to tell without more better detailed photos?
    Thanks for any replies

Think the crucefix late Victorian. See similar made well into the 20th century. Not a clue about the statue from these pictures.

Thanks for the reply and opinion. Think accurately dating the crucifix from one photo might also be a problem. Searching I see so many online with all kinds of suggested dates. But interesting items.
    Thanks again

Can only confirm that the key indicates St. Peter. He looks like he got very weathered before being protected.
