I know this is a German company, and that most of their items are alpacca.
But, as there's also a sneaker brand with that name, google makes it hard to find any useful info on the company... When did they start? Do they still exist?
Based on the font, I assume these sugar nips aren't very old. Any idea how old/young these could be? (based on font and/or design)
And some items are marked as alpacca, and others, like mine, aren't. Is it still likely that this will be alpacca? Or did they also produce silver plated items?

    Here's the polished version

Looks like they've been around a while. Ad from a 1922 trade journal with a different product line.

Different logo. No date on this but those are Breuer's B33 chairs which didn't go into production until 1930.

Nice design, it looks Jugendstil to me. If I am right that would make it pre-1910.

Interestingly the 1922 ad says Hohmann & Kauderer AG, but the invaluable listing says Hohmann & Katz. Given that the first one is their own ad, I'd say that one is right.
But the confusion is probably a sign that, although they made some nice things, they are not very well known.
I can only find a company called Hohmann, specialized in industrial metal. Probably nothing to do with your HoKa.

Thank you, @Any Jewelry, for catching the name change. This is helpful. From the internet:

"Hoka is the abbreviation for the German manufacturer Hohmann & Katz AG in Pforzheim, Germany.

The company has its roots in a company, Emil Becker, which manufactured gold and silver chains and Hohmann joined as a partner in 1908. The range was expanded to include other metal products in 1920 and the following year the company was called Hohmann & Kauderer AG. Restaurant silver and silver-plated gift items under the name HOKA made the company world famous. In the years up to 1941, there were many changes of ownership and mergers, but the company name that is most familiar today, Hohmann & Katz AG, was registered in 1941 and the company was active until June 1990."

The second ad is of a trade show booth and, given name change, can't be earlier than 1941. (Not that it matters for our purposes.)

I almost tagged you when I wrote
but then I thought 'nah, that won't be necessary, as simply writing this will work as a Bat-Signal for Deborah', and, lo and behold, I was right. Thanks!!

I had found that one as well, and there's also a HOKA GMBH GERMANY, but they make wood products (for terraces and facades)
