I am finding it under the title "Sonno Profondo". There are prints, books covers, post cards. Wonder what's the origin of the image?
    Thanks

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Precious! So many prints of kids and parents here and there, but... that one I will remember. I'll do some of my "research" on the image... e.g., searching for random combinations of descriptors on Google... :bag:

The kid has filled his pants and the so called dad with Vulcan ears has passed out with the stink.
Blond haired infant with unrelated dark receding haired male.
    Staged picture me thinks.
Or am I being cynical

And no one cares for matchstick woman in the distance shouting for help for her matchstick drowning husband.

Art is not my thing, but I could not resist.
But you have to admit the whole thing is staged.

BTW was Mr Matchstick ever saved ?

Davey, I'm with you one hundred percent. I vote for a 1950s poor attempt at photo-shopping.

And please don't concern yourself with the matchstick family. They float nicely. Just hope the tide is coming IN.

Ladies, the subjects are really neat. Nice touch. But in this case - fabricated.

Deep sleep? No. they're both ABOVE ground.

The copies I see in a quick search are attributed to either "A Bruwell" or "Alexander Bruwell", and dated 1958.

There are a couple of other photos with the same attribution (including Love at First Bite - a picture of a little girl and boy.) Those, too, are available printed on art canvas, tote bags, postcards, and the like.

I'm wondering, however, why my (albeit cursory) search didn't turn up any biographical info about this Bruwell...

BTW, when I borrowed this pic it showed on my site as 1,000 pix s wide. I did reduce it, but I'm not savvy enough to know how 1,000 was accommodated here.

Ooooooh, I like the changes you made, OG. All those words and colors really give the work an existentialist pop-artsy feel.

OH, YEAH. I just happen to be Capricorn.

But, please, we are taking up way to much public space.

    And, besides, you are married.

    Bye.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I have the same result. I did look up just the name, and found at least one poster printed from a different photograph that is captioned under the photo "Alexander Bruwell's Collection." And a lot of the sites attribute the prints to Europe, but don't say where in Europe. And no info about who Bruwell was or is.
