I bought this cigarette case on one of the antique gatherings :)
I almost certain that it is German but would like to confirm.
Also, if someone could date it for me it would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

I don't see marks with German characteristics. Can you get the ones you found in even closer (and still in focus?) The lady's dress (if it means anything and it does not have to mean a thing) looks more Spanish than German as well.

And she appears to have castanets in her hands, which would also argue for Spain.

She is a Spanish dancer but don't think case Spanish in origin. Think she represents the exotic (and
titilating.) Here's a similar image from an antique German case.

Good going, Cheryl! I was totally in the dark about where to start because the markings inside the rectangles were so hard to see.

In case anyone wants to see what's actually there, scroll down to Kuppenheim on this page. https://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_marks_a1884_5.html

Bit more time now - to be clear, Louis Kuppenheim was a large manufacturer, the founder long gone by the time this piece was produced, they were known for their quality and fine enamel work; like other Jewish-owned firms, forced out of business in the late '30s...

This German collector/researcher dates the style of those marks to around 1912-24: http://www.louis-kuppenheim.de/Geschichte/History-Louis-Kuppenheim/index.php/
