I see the video here thanks. Not sure I see the tracing part. As for amateur artwork it’s definitely a simplistic tiger seemingly put on via stencil. When I purchased it I didn’t realize that there were others like it. Someone put this same artwork onto a batch of crocks and jugs at the very least it turns out.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

In looking on here and Worthpoint, I noticed the tiger is also facing BOTH ways!! VERY NICE crock, BTW, @J Dagger !!!!

    Thanks!

Ooh wasn’t quite sure what you were talking about until I found that other one on worthpoint. Interesting that there were two stencils, one facing each way. Now I need to find out what the larger crock went for.

I bought a few pieces of pottery back in 2016 that I thought might be good, but had no idea where to start. I posted them on the forum & on the recommendation of one of the members I contacted Crocker Farms.

The details are all in this thread.

The folks at Crocker Farms are absolutely wonderful!!! I could not have been more pleased with the way everything was handled. My check came in about 3 to 4 weeks.

The decoration on the piece posted scoutshouse is more black in color while yours appears to be partially black but mostly blue. I wonder if the black glazing on your piece was very faint and someone later went over it with blue glazing post production. That would explain the differences in the design. Anyone with a little artistic talent and a kiln (available for about $50 used around here) could have added the blue portions of the Tiger to "improve" the visibility. Hopefully Crocker Farm will respond and be able to definitely tell, I have been watching their Youtube channel.

Ah ok I understand what you’re talking about better now. You see blue huh? I’ll have to take it out in person again. I haven’t looked at the actual piece since the day I got it. I don’t recall seeing any blue and in the photos I only see black. I’ll let you know when I check it out again.

So I never contacted Crocker Farm. I just got caught up in other stuff. I should have I know...

I did just sell it for 5.5x what I paid to a guy who is going to donate it to a museum. Sad to see it go but this one ended well.
