I know there's someone out there that can help with this!

This is oval, lidded, what I would call a trinket box. The finish is matte blue with a gold decorative border around the lid and frolicking putti in relief, and it appears to be signed "G Limoges." It's 8" U.S. long, 6" wide, and about 4" high.

The inside is glossy white. The bottom of the item has "Limoges/France" in blue, with " "Made in Limoges-France/for/The Antique Dome Inc./Miami Beach" stamped in gold.

I'm going to say that I believe that this is mid-20th Century because of the name of the vendor. "The Antique Dome" just doesn't sound Victorian, ha ha. Deco maybe? I cannot find any reference to this vendor. I know we don't do evaluations, but I'll say that this is in the $100-$150 range. Too low? Too high?

    Let me know your thoughts!

Well done you! So this could be Deco after all. I like it!

And better yet, the building is still there!

To my eye, the gold lettering points it to a much later date.

So mid-(20th) Century after all. I’m thinking 1950s. Perhaps this was part of the stock that was liquidated by Jordan Marsh in 1961.

Not finding a lot on internet but... Can find no reference to the Inc. before 1955.

The CT reminds me of, but is not quite the same as, the mark for Camille Tharaud, or not like the one I know, which kind of looks like a peach.

    No, @Bronwen i didn’t.
I did, however, recently receive severe injuries in a fall, breaking my right arm in 3 places. Don’t know how much I’ll be around in the near future.
Thanks for staying on top of this!

I really was wondering if something bad had happened in your life because it wasn't like you not to respond. I'm sure others have also noticed your radio silence. Have to admit I wasn't imagining anything this bad. Sounds like you have some extended recovery time ahead of you. Hope you are not in too much pain & all heals with time & rest. Thoughts with Mrs. Ghopper too.

Thanks for the kind thoughts @Bronwen. The pain is quite awful, but it has to end sometime, right? But there are lots of blessings to count!

Oh dear. :( This is the sort of thing that opioid painkillers can really help get you through, if you do not have reason not to use one temporarily. Whatever "they" may say, I do not believe suffering is good for the soul! My advice is to check in from time to time to read the funnies thread, because laughter... And sleep. :nurse:

if the pain is unrelenting ........ find a doctor and demand some demerol ........

Thanks, I’m def using opiates to get through this. Still lots of pain. Unfortunately, as with everything there are side effects. In this case, stopping breathing and….urrrg….constipation!

Let me tell you, living with one arm - and that one not the dominant arm- is an interesting experience!

I picture you typing by poking at the keys with 1 finger of your left hand. They say it's good for your brain to do things with your non-dominant hand, so really it's a blessing. NOT!
