Yup! It's close enough for government work. The problem is that if I'm seeing it so is everyone else with eyeballs.

Go for it! There are a few fairly nice plated pieces in that lot.
It'll be interesting to see how much it hammers for, given silver prices, eh?

Threw a bid on it, and begged for shipping since i can't medically go where the auction is. Now we see how fast I"m outbid.

Thanks. Fingers crossed. With my luck the price will go up 10x in the last two minutes.

Do they have a snipe tool like eBay? Hate that "feature"

I'm not much of an eBay bidder, preferring BIN sales.
So I'm not aware of the Bay itself offering a 'sniping' feature to their buyers.

    Sniping software is independant.

Final hammer was $63. I would have needed to pay $40 for transport, so $60 was as high as I was going and even that made me nervous. I got the outbid notice at church and couldn't get the wifi to work well enough to even have a prayer of raising my bid. I'd bet the other bidder's max was closer to the $100 mark.

At least I didn't have to pay for it . That's the problem with playing the game with one hand tied behind your back. You pay the Disability Tax, and it often makes deals into No Deals.

I only use online auctions to buy special things I'm looking for anymore. Everything ends up getting corrupted these days.

Ebay: people have 2 accounts to bid up their own stuff or bidders use eSnipe

You are privileged to live in a relatively enlightened nation, Komo...we 'mericans, many of us, are envious of the obvious difference between your government's attitude toward its citizens...an' ours. I see that as a widening disparity, particularly between now an' January 2029.

We are seeing more people migrating from the US to NL now. Especially academics, LHBTQ+ people and parents with neurodivergent children. They can live, work and study here easily and even start a business with a very small investment deposit because of the Dutch American Friendship Treaty (DAFT:wacky:).

If y'all Dutch are daft enough to let us in....! It's happened before; the Pilgrims went to the Netherlands before getting freaked out because their kids were learning Dutch and bailing for Jamestown. Or trying to bail for Jamestown anyway; they ended up in Massachusetts instead. Now their descendants are wondering why the heck they left.:wacky::wacky::wacky::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
