    Bakelite colour ? | Antiques Board

    now, have had a bit of bother trying to sell it :confused:, first for quite a lot.....then a steady decline into....i'd rather keep it ya cheapskates

    but noticed this last night by sort of accident

    Unfortunately it is the dye, not the material. A dye containing yellow will often do that.

    You could try the float test, just to be sure.

    Placing it on a flat surface with a neutral colour would help, rather than a dead cat :D:rolleyes:
