Good old broadcast sports! That poor ski jumper became famous, but not the way he wanted to.

My Christmas present to myself this year. DeVilbiss c.1927 dauber bottle with jeweled foot. :D:D

Shown with one of its cousins (also c.1927) that came to live with me earlier this year. :smug::smug:

    NICE!

Some pictures of things I found but never photographed: a Royal Copenhagen little baby bear
and a Steuben crystal bear. The little whale tooth end is real tooth...and the image search did not want to cough up. my guess is it's a Native piece, (David Fine IIRC) but they're running scared of ivory.

I think they're gorgeous, but I can't help also thinking how easy they would be for a cat to knock over. And with that tassel on the bulb...:nailbiting:

I haven't been out much, winter blues, even though I like winter. Here are some recent finds. This vintage sweater was $4. The mirror was $5.

I have more vintage clothing to post. I am behind in photography. The antique dealers scapped the 14k and pearls, but saved me the cameo, $10.

The 10k emerald studs were $1. The sterling heart piece was $3.

I thought this was glass, $10. The citrine colored spacers are glass, the faceted beads are rock crystal. Graduated, 30 inches, strung on metal, possibly sterling.

And this was $20, going on the jewelry board with more pics and questions.

Love the horsie. Congrats on finding actual silver and gold for good prices; where I am it's all but disappeared.

I haven't been thrifting in awhile. I was in shock when I saw the prices at most thrifts. I got most if the deals at antique malls: they are hurting, and dealers in them are going out of business.

More likely to be lead crystal, I think. Don't know how that reads on a tester.

The cameo is an interesting concoction: ponytail girl with the grain of Ceres & the butterfly of Psyche. You can rely on it that there won't be many others like it out there.

The necklace tests very high on the Presidium, and it doesn't have the color refraction of lead crystal. The stones are clear/white....I have lead crystal necklaces. I did Google lens the cameo: some sources say the butterfly represents Persephone because of the cycle of change. In teresting!
