    Hi everyone

I would really appreciate your help identifying this small metal sculpture of a boy riding a snail, which is used as a toothpick holder.

From its appearance, it does not seem to be silver, more likely some kind of alloy.

I would love to know the country of origin and an approximate period of production. 1.57 inches - 4 cm tall

Thank you very much in advance for any information or ideas.

    Photos attached.

He's a putto with snail, a common motif in sculpture and decorative arts. And, you don't give size but... Are you sure it's not a candle holder?

That is a WMF beehive mark. Should have a running ostrich in the center. Would be silverplate. Maybe this mark? This would place it after 1910. I believe used into the 20s.
