    Hi Folks

bought this a while ago and just presumed it was whitefriars (just has that quality weight, side seams etc)

but doesn't seem possible as there are no other examples like it, or done like it

as i mentioned very heavy for size

anyone have an idea what it/maker could be

    thanks :)

Votive holder? Seems small for a vase.

Orrefors snowball votive holder, or a clone. It's not a vase.

Kosta Boda made some like that. I have a pair I received as a gift many years ago.

Part of me thinks I'm seeing a mold line, and if so it's definitely a look-alike.

I have a couple of the Orrefors Snowball tea lites. Went to an on site auction some years ago and the person's house was full of awesome Scandinavian stuff. She had a really looong windowsill with Snowball votives spaced 2" apart so I purchased all of them. They sold very well. A little later I found several that were not signed and had the mold line, bought them too and they sold well. They're fun to have at the holidays especially in bunches. I saw someone (on line) who used several on her dining table instead of candlesticks. It was lovely.

I know, way more information than you wanted. Please don't leave me any mean face emojis, lol.

just to be 'clear' and have said it before.....i have always liked evey, and like evey, and always will, but she's not trying to help me, or talking to me, she's talking to the other members to show how much she presumes she knows about everything

which frustrates the hell out of me

Ditto. I got my Kosta Boda "Snowballs" in the mid-70s.

My parents were given one back in the 80s I think. They must've been a popular gift item back then.
