    I only went to one estate sale where the owner was there. The estate company was trying to sell things and she would ask for a higher price or didn't want to sell the items. They couldn't get her to leave. People here are pretty good about following directives and not ruining things, plus the estate sales companies here also have big teams managing the sales.

    Most times it's in the TOS that the owners can't be there. Professional outfits often own't allow it.

    I have mentioned before that my youngest granddaughter likes to visit thrifts for fashion. She had the day off school and asked if I would take her to a thrift store which I did. She didn't find anything, but I did, LOL. I spotted a small red leather purse and examining it more closely it did indeed say real leather in English and Italian. There was q leather tag inside that said it was made in Firenze (Florence). The red colour goes with my new car! $16.99 CAD. Florence is the leather capital of Italy, and probably of Europe. They make excellent leatherware.

    Just try finding a good leather bag retail..but keep someone who knows CPR handy for when you look at the prices.

    Just like when a house is being shown the real estate agent wants the owners gone!

    Exactly. The odds are too good of the owner screwing up their own sale.

    Finally got some quick pix of last week's goodies. The gold earrings were nothing much to look at and they are in my Melt-me pile. THe journey earrings scratched red - no joy. The kittycat jester has been here a while. I bought it because it was weird. The bracelet was sold as "small" but I got into it easily enough at home and I am not a small person. It's Navajo sterling. The lovebirds look like carved red bakelite. The chrysanthemum is marked like Boucher, but without the name. The pendant is sterling and smoky quartz. The cat is a crocheted Pusheen, made by my sister. The tail is in the first picture and I figured I had to pay Cat Tax.

    The main reason this is a "find" is that it made it out of the back room of a Goodwill intact except for a single leaf that has lost its tip & it was a whole $5.00. :happy::happy:

    Anybody want to take a guess as to what kind of bird these might represent?

    That might be as close as I get. I thought that thing on top of their head might be a clue, but had no luck when I tried image search. It told me it was a
    Hummingbird. :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    I don't think it is really going to matter as these seem to sell fairly well & I didn't see any with a whole family of birds on my initial search. :D:D

    That is not something I'd want to ship. Odds are neither did Ill Will. They're scum, but every s often they employ someone with a brain.

    Maybe a galah with attitude?
    (A galah is an Australian pink cockatoo. Alternatively a stupid person "you silly galah!":joyful:)
