    IMG_0283.jpeg IMG_0281.jpeg IMG_0282.jpeg IMG_0279.jpeg Hi all,
I couldn’t resist this little cup although it broke two rules for me - incomplete (no saucer) and damaged (crack one one side).
The marks appears to date it between 1873-1891. I can’t decipher the pattern number to learn more but would love to know more its age and anything on the decor. Is it common, rare, unusual? Stunning raised enamel and gilding work that’s in beautiful order. It’s 5cm high and 8cm across the rim. Many thanks.

looks to be a demitasse (given size, shape and that flat bottom)

have never seen minton blue in raised enamel though :wideyed: so that does make it stand out as unusual

Thanks. The raised enamel is what drew me to it!

I would've been sorely tempted, too, as that is my favourite turquoise colour! Minton's was the best for that. Given the decoration and the shape of the handle, I think we can fit it in the c. 1880 time frame. It has some aesthetic elements.

Thanks so much, c 1880s sounds good to me. The temptation was also easy to give in to because it was only a few Aussie $.
