Thoughts on age of this painting

Are we talking bois durci here?

 

AI thinks it's chalk plus glue plus oil resin which is not Bois durci but similar in that it's a composite.

That's if AI is correct...

 

May or it may not be it can add information and it's useful to bring more information in, but it does get it wrong also.

 

.......& wrong information......... is the worst kind of information...as it gets passed on , as good information....... until you can't tell the truth from the bullshit , and then it's too late to put the genie back in the bottle !!!!!!

AI ....... ohh, maybe it can spot breast cancer better than a human........ and that's a good thing , for now....... but when it spews out misinformation as the gods honest truth , and we believe it ...... well then FUBAR.... and there won't be a way to turn it off !!!

Also noting that where it broke t oxidised. Went from creamy to light brown over time

Nope...not lots....and whatever slips thru is mostly corrected by other members , asap......so bad info doesn't stand much of a chance...or for long !!!

 

I think the frame is quite a bit older than the painting

 

Frame is very interesting because from the front it looks sort of quite plasticy. And it seems like it's in such shiny new condition but then the back shows it to be old.
But they had composite casted frames in the 19th century.
