I found this House of Blues poster yesterday at my local thrift and bought it because of the Bo Diddley signature/autograph.
When I did an image search only 1 other one came up; in a house of blues FB group page (I joined it, but am waiting for administration approval) - do you think this is real?
The date by Bo's signature says '98 so it's not that old, but if real does it have value? (I think it's a black light poster with that green - does that make it more collectible?)
    Thank you!

You can send it to JSA and they will confirm for you.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Sounds like the poster is cataloged at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture: https://nmaahc.si.edu/object/nmaahc_2013.177.2

No image on the page, unfortunately.

Theirs mentions "black, white, and orange type" so it isn't the same poster as yours, which has green. But there could have been multiple posters printed for the event.

My guess is JSA would charge $50 plus shipping for the authentication. Not bad at all!

    I think it is.

With a faked sig, they wouldn't have used the dedication as this lowers the price (unless it was done by a family member/friend of Sachi [?] or by Sachi, to pretend having a real Bo sig), and would probably have faked both sigs and/or used an older date.

Do you think its worth $50 to authenticate it?
Looking at some Bo Diddley autographs I saw below $50 price - is the poster worth it? (Because it appears to only be from the 90's)

You don't just have an autograph; you have a very interesting poster too.
But I know Nothing about them. BUT if it was mine, I would check it closely for rips, creases and discoloring. If it looked good, I would spend the $$$ to authenticate it.

This link dates it as 1998.
(May 16 did fall on a Saturday in 1998)

The link also says that the printer is unidentified.

I found one with green ink, and on it the printer is identified as the designer too ...

Maybe in 1998 they did not have that information on it, and since then they have made reprints with that info. They are still in business.
