Please tell what this weird thing is.

It measures 40" tall (110cm), is 19" wide at the bottom, and seems to have a patina that indicates age.

The plumed / flying serpent / dragons are carved on all four legs. ...Huh?

Thanks for any opinions / comments.

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

looks like a fancy pie shelf.... maybe Scandinavian in origin...:wideyed:

The dreaded AI...... seems to possibly concur...
".This is a vintage or antique industrial wood rack, possibly a cobbler's factory shoe rack or bakery cooling rack, with slatted shelves"

but it could just be a fancy plant stand.......:hungover:

The way the legs are extended at the top forms supports for bottles.

Plant stand or pot stand. Bigger shelves for bigger pots at the bottom. Or could be a clothes airer hence the slatted shelves.

Plants, pies, and wines..... I like them all!

I wondered if it was pyrography. It looks like it. The internet says that pyrography has been especially popular in folk art since the late 1800s. (Not that this pice is that old.)
