Featured Meissen figurine

Picked this up today from the street seller. I'm no expert but it looks like the real deal. A fair bit of damage unfortunately but it cost next to nothing so a shot to nothing really. Dog has a broken tail, the straps from the back have snapped off and chips on the base and hat. This model is referred to as a child online, but she looks a fair bit older to me. She's 14cm tall.

 

looks right to me mate, the quality base kinda speaks for itself. the little damage bits a bugger........but that dog / mirror thing makes it my new favourite piece of meissen now anyway !!!!!!

 

Thank you. Oh I forgot. The mirror is cracked too. There are a couple listed on ebay. One in Japan and the other in Germany. The cross sword marks on them are a lot more crude and much deeper blue. Not sure what to make of that in comparison to mine. Looking at them, mine is also missing the dangles from the corners of the seat. At least she's still got her head.

 

its usually those impressed marks that go along with the swords that speak of meissen (i've found) and also the quality of the porcelain itself......and both look good from here
