Hi folks.......found these beauties in a once rejected necklace stash. i guess i've handled enough jade since then to know better

guess thowing/giving things away isn't always the best option

nephrite they are not, so hoping more jadeite

if you look up jade beads nowadays your awash with mass cheapness, them seem better and older

(brown areas are some kind of gunk)

That's what they look like. Originally Burmese, but traded through China.

    Not too slim I hope?
There are acrylic thingies you can put on the inside of rings to make them smaller.

only ever slim enough to slip outta trouble of course AJ ;):playful:

the main reason was to see the devastation left by the rings

but they have got looser and would rather not wear than lose..........thats one thing that kills me.......losing sentimental or treasured things

The only way to be sure is to test them. Do you know anyone with a gem tester, or a jeweler who can test them for you?

Jade has a fuzzy structure, easily recognizable especially in jadeite. If you look at it through a loupe, you will see crinkly 'threads' that look just like the thread when you unravel a knitted sweater.
