Featured Large antique button. What can you tell me?

Any guesses on age? Believe the center to be glass, it's purple in real life. Button is 1 3/4" in diameter.

 

Silver on brass, an' yes. glass.

Except it is a button, not a plaid brooch. It is also about half the size of a plaid brooch.

It's a 'Gay Nineties' jewel button, used on coats and cloaks, circa 1890s-1910s.

The one thing I noticed with mine, the jewel is actually in sort of a "raised setting" which is kind of neat.

I listed it with an opening bid of $20, we'll see what happens! Thanks.
