It works perfect and sounds amazing, missing the felt on the bottom of the legs came with original COA from when it was manufactured. I'm curious if anyone knows anything about this box? Or possibly the value of something like this? Thank you

The inlay is taken from Dürer's 'Praying Hands.'

I see those are the typical 72 note ones which I've heard are very common. The 144 note is very uncommon. I saw one sold 2022 for 10k but I can't find out where

No. 2 of 100 — With Original COA & Literature**
    Manufacturer: Reuge, Sainte-Croix, Switzerland
    Year: 1977
Edition: Limited Edition — No. 2 of only 100 produced worldwide
Movement: Rare 144-note Swiss mechanical movement
Documentation: Original Certificate of Authenticity & original literature included
Offered here is an exceptional 1977 Reuge 144-note music box, a true museum-quality example of Swiss mechanical artistry. This piece is Number 2 from a strictly limited production of just 100, making it among the earliest examples produced in the edition.
Reuge’s 144-note movements represent the pinnacle of traditional mechanical music, offering extraordinary tonal depth, complexity, and clarity that far exceeds standard 72- or 108-note boxes. These movements were produced in extremely limited quantities due to their complexity and cost, and remain highly sought after by advanced collectors.
This example is accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity and original Reuge literature, an increasingly rare and important factor for collector confidence and long-term value.

Ha, you're right. In the Worthpoint description, it says it's a 144 version, but based on the photos that one is indeed a 72 box :shifty:
