Songye kifwebe mask?

I grabbed this ages ago. It almost looks alien. I'm assuming its African but not even sure about that. The wood is soft and it feels like you could press your finger nails into it. Google suggests Songye Kifwebe but who knows. It's 22cm long.

open cell light wood , carved , and sanded smooth to thin edges..

plus , it's no african tribal mask I know of , ..too generic

Very basic for a mask from DRC/Congo, and generally off. Masks from DRC are usually carved with very fine geometric lines, one of the things I like about them.
