I hope I don't post too many requests for help.

I found this and cannot find the image or the gallery on the back. I'll admit my deficiencies in searching.

I guess the title is Orpheus and Eurydice. But I can't read the artist's name.

I don't know the medium either.

    Paper: 51x46cm
    Image: 34x26cm

Found in Portland Oregon US, at the Goodwill outlet store / last stop before the landfill. The price tag was smacked over her face, hiding her, which is maybe why it made it to this last chance, $5 spot, where I found it among the IKEA art, bad 1970s prints, golf course pictures, and cartoonish amateur paintings of so-and-so's cat.

    Thanks as always!!

Yeah, I was confused by the hands too, but I think I've since 'oriented' it: Eurydice was inside some sort of organic-looking encasement, and Orpheus's hand center left is opening it up.

    Thank you!!

I always suspect these types of works were brought back by GIs. (Aschaffenburg had a US Army presence until 2007.)

Makes sense. And there's not really any other logical explanation beyond just an individual with connections in both Germany and Oregon.
