I took a $30 chance on this, hoping the signature is decipherable (and desirable!).

    It's small--- 6+" x 4" image. (16x10cm)

I think the label says I. O. Krumbholz, Milwaukee.

I think it's an oil on board, with a cardboard backing between the board and the frame's nails.

I tried a quick 'cleaning' with a single Q-tip swab and saliva in one corner, but it did not immediately clean up. Maybe it needs something more to come back to life.

Thank you for any help. Antiquers is an invaluable resource for me, and I never take it for granted. Thank you!

Golluzer seems like a distinct possibility.

I tried to enhance / filter the signature, but don't know if it helps much.

Really not likely. There was an Italian artist who painted had
J O. Krumbholtz Fine Arts Gallery.
His name was Francisco Spacuzza. But I'm not seeing it work with the letters we see. The L could be a C? The first L could be an I, but ...?

Yes, the second L could be a C. The first L could be part of an A, in which case we have to shift the start of the surname a bit to the right
And it could be an S with the lower swirl almost touching the frame, and a badly painted P next to it.
    So yes, Spacuzza.:)

I'm sorry it's Spicuzzo. Which could still work. Haha

I think you got it. Local artist, experimenting with a bit of impasto.

And well done to all. I, for one, didn't think that signature was decipherable.
