Cast Iron Tools - What were these used for

    We found these in the bottom of a box lot that we purchased. Clearly some sort of hammer and a nubby brush or file? (We have no idea). They are not very large...only 8 and 9.5 inches long. Cast iron probably. No marks. Do you know what purpose they serve? Thank you

    The hammer and rasp may be ferrier's tools. Button hook in the middle.

    And I'd say the little one in the middle is probably an old shoe button hook!!! Either that or for lacing up old high button shoes back in the day!!:D

    A ferrier would need maybe an oar or paddle, but think farrier's tools is probably correct. Here's a modern set:

    It doesn't look like a rasp to me.

    But I don't know what it is.

    Most people prefer to see "full images" (like below). Apparently, for some phones this is a significant issue.

    On the kitchen front, I'm wondering if the two tools are some unsuccessful plan for meat tenderizing.

    But not the button hook. :p
