    Google Lens wasn't very helpful only to say it was likely a military decoration.
    Any info appreciated.

    Nothing military that sticks out to me.
    Its obviously had a ribbon at sometime.
    Is the woman staring into a mirror ?

    Fantasy piece or prize.

    I don't see anything military either, except that it had a ribbon and it's a Maltese cross. Persephone with her mirror??

    Watch fobs usually have a suspension ring rather than a ribbon bar.
    They are usually roundish and don't have sharp edges.
    They are usually made of silver or gold and not rusty metal.
    JMHO

    The image immediately makes me think French or Belgian for some reason. Almost certainly not military anyway. It coule be for sport or something similar.
    Military medals, when stamped, are as far as I know, double sided and most are cast not stamped. This example seems cheap in the extreme, so I am thinking not for something of particular importance.

    Old ones are like that. I just found an enameled dated 1977, C&O Railroad fob in my stash of junk; it has the horizonal opening. The fobs made to hang from leather have them as a matter of course.

    No self respecting gentleman having a gold or silver pocket watch on a similar chain would be seen dead wearing a rusty old bit of junk and allowing it touch his waistcoat.
    That looks so sharp it could cut your bits off if you bent over or at least shred your pants.
