Really cool crock! If I were at an estate auction and saw that I'd be deciding how much to bid. Should bring at least $600-800 easy. Nice find!

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Thanks, Joe, for the vote of confidence!
The biggest obstacle between me and a successful auction seems to be... ME.
I've gotten all attached to it!

Gila, that happens to me constantly. I almost have to keep things I'd like to sell tucked away and never look at them.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

    MANNNNNN.
I actually discovered a small, small crack at the base... so with knowing I wouldn't get top dollar, sentiment outweighed greed, so it's a keeper!

I saw a special on TV about Passenger Pigeons. Terribly, terribly sad that millions and millions of birds went extinct due to human beings killing them by the thousands and thousands. They said that when the flocks migrated, the sky would darken like night due to the extremely large numbers flying over. I couldn't help thinking that they splatted a lot of people on the ground. But who knows, if they still existed in those numbers, they might get bird flu.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Yes, Ola, true. Another beauty that went extinct was the only American parrot... the Carolina Parakeet.
