Copeland Late Spode Character Plate - Katherine

Hello Board Friends - I recently rescued this Copeland Late Spode transferware plate from a stack at our local auction. I told the auctioneer it was best to run it separately but I was the only one to bid. The problem is I have no idea what the scene represents. It measures 10" across. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks very much! Don

 

There seem to some plates said to be from a Shakespeare series that are similar in style. Perhaps she is Kate from Taming of the Shrew?
