The Stephen Dweck stones might best be described as 'art glass'.

The KJL earrings are not made with real turquoise. The large 'turquoise' stones are likely plastic, the smaller 'turquoise' stone might be glass (they are called 'turquoise matrix).

I get sometimes requests to show a picture with a ring on a real hand and earrings on a real head. When listing rings I usually include a picture of the ring on my hand, but I use a small picture that doesn't show any detail and is just useful for showing size and how it looks on the hand.

I don’t mind seeing a ring displayed on a finger as long as it compliments the ring. Photos of earrings in ears however make me scroll past very quickly :stop:

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

This is an old-ish thread. I wonder whether @journeymagazine ever got the earring display stand?

Good ID -- I think you may have been the only one to mention it?

I have a pair of somewhat similar earrings that my mother owned since the early 1950s. So these newer ones are definitely mid-century in style.

I still have these shown - and 4 or 5 bags & boxes more! - under my bed. When I think about selling them I put it off because they were my mom's and also because there's so much & I don't know much about them

    Good idea, imo.

No - I put them back under my bed!
But at a thrift store today I found a feathered mask with a acrylic stand that may work in a pinch.
PS - I also found 3 Rachel Welch and 1 Eva Gabor wigs in their original boxes - I never knew Rachel Welch or Eva Gabor sold wigs!?
What style should I call them? (They're all the same type of cut)
Any memories of actresses who wore their hair in short cut like these?
    Thanks Figtree3!

I used to see those advertised in Parade and womens' magazines. Some Orthodox women still wear wigs, because you can't go out with your hair uncovered, but these were cheap and never looked good. Personally, I'd save them for Halloween.

Orthodox women spend thousands on theirs.

Overhere too, or rather, across the border in Belgium (mostly Liberal Jews in NL). The Orthodox women of Antwerp look very classy in their expensive wigs, and the wigs serve their purpose.
